FF-4 The Seventh Reflection by K Tempest Bradford

By admin | October 3, 2008

Read by Leslie Moore

Audio Engineering by Bruce McDonald

 ”The Seventh Reflection”  was originally published in the Thou Shalt Not… anthology and is about 2,000 words long.  Ms Bradford also has stories published in Farthing Magazine and the Interfictions anthology and a few forthcoming in PodCastle and Electric Velocipede.

Lia stood before the large, oval mirror in her room and stared at the
reflection.  Bone-straight hair–long, shiny and black–a heart-shaped
face, perfect button nose, sensual mouth, and wide green eyes.  The skin
held no blemish and no imperfection–not too dark, but not too light.
An elegant neck; firm, round breasts; smooth, flat stomach; curvy hips;
long, muscular legs tapering toward the floor and ending at the bottom
of the mirror.

    Hrumph!
    Well, this podcast keeps surprising me. I know it’s hosted by some kids. So I guess I have expectations of “kiddy” stories.
    I’m always surprised when I get dark and somewhat sexy sounding stories.
    Always a nice surprise.
    So, okay, I’ll send you some money.
    Hmm. Wonder what mischief you’ll kids will get up to at Halloween?
